Developing skills for future leaders
Program Description
Develop leaders for the perpetual growth and enhancement of the Kingdom: in-home, family/church, work environment, and community.
We seek to identify, equip and advance a core group of individuals with diverse backgrounds to assume greater leadership roles. The program will consist of one Saturday session per month for 4 hours. The program will span 14 months.
During class time we will discover, define, and develop a network and enhance skills needed to elevate and propel ministry. Additionally, Macedonia’s Leadership Institute serves as a model for churches that strive to educate and develop leaders.
Purpose
The Macedonia Leadership Institute’s goal is to increase the participation of thinkers, shapers and planners at various skill and knowledge levels. We will endeavor to:
- Provide and develop leadership strategies
- Cultivate spiritual leadership
- Provide direction in developing and implementing initiatives
- Equip participants with tools to develop people
Participant Profile
Macedonia Leadership Institute member applicants should be highly motivated individuals with the ability to work alone and within a group toward achieving set goals. Successful applicants will have a demonstrated interest in leadership.
If married, applicants must provide a written affirmation from themselves and their spouse of their commitment. If single, applicants must provide a written affirmation of their commitment.
Applicants must agree to:
- Must be a member of Macedonia Baptist Church (KCMO)
- Complete all assignments on time
- Attend every session (If one session is missed, the candidate must relinquish their participation. Note: Members can be considered for the next year’s session if they must withdraw from the current session).
- Must be open, transparent and committed to the process
- Must be dedicated to everyone in the group and the overall success of the group.
- Must be prompt to all sessions. (Anything after 15 minutes tardy will be considered an absence.)
- Minimum age is 21 years of age to apply
- Must complete and submit an application no later than April 22, 2022.
- Must provide your personal testimony of no more than 500 words with the application.
- Must be a free-will giver.
- Must attend Sunday School, Bible Study, and Community Groups regularly.
- Must submit a letter of recommendation from a ministry leader or pastor with your application.

June 15, 2024 at 3:00pm- 7:00pm
July 20, 2024 at 3:00pm- 7:00pm
August 17, 2024 at 3:00pm- 7:00pm
September 21, 2024 at 3:00pm- 7:00pm
October 19, 2024 at 3:00pm- 7:00pm
November 16, 2024 at 3:00pm- 7:00pm
December 21, 2024 at 3:00pm- 7:00pm
January 18, 2025 at 3:00pm- 7:00pm
February 15, 2025 at 3:00pm- 7:00pm
March 15, 2025 at 3:00pm- 7:00pm
April 19, 2025 at 3:00pm- 7:00pm
May 17, 2025 at 3:00pm- 7:00pm
June 21, 2025 at 3:00pm- 7:00pm
July 17-19, 2025, for a Leadership trip out of town, transportation and hotel will be taken care of. The only cost to the participant will be food.
There is no monetary compensation or stipend associated with this institute.
